Concept of the Works

“Sustainable Development”, as the common basic principal for environmental protection, has been widely recognized both in Japan and internationally. At the core of this concept is the idea that “Development” and “Environment” can co-exist, through moderate development, with consideration of environmental protection issues. The concept of “Sustainable Development” has been a major part of my work since the Message AD Poster Exhibition in 2012, and has continued to play a part in my creative practice up to now.

Sustainable Development、つまり「持続可能な開発」という考え方は、環境保全についての基本的な共通理念として、国際的に広く認識されている。これは、「環境」と「開発」を、互いに反するものではなく共存し得るものとしてとらえ、環境保全を考慮した節度のある開発が可能であり重要であるという考えに立つものである。2012年より、私自身の作品にSustainable Developmentというコンセプトを付け、「メッセージ広告ポスター展」を開催した以来、現在に至るまでそのコンセプトで創作活動を続けている。
